📔 Glossary
Using Meta Pixel, there are basic notions you need to understand.
- Event: An event is an action performed by a customer that will be recorded by our platform.
- For example, paying a shopping cart.
- Standard Event: A standard event for Meta Pixel is a predefined action, such as "Add to Cart" or "Purchase," used to track important user interactions on your website. These events help Meta understand user behavior, optimize ad delivery, and provide insights for measuring campaign performance effectively.
- Custom Event: A custom event for Meta Pixel is event defined by bsport that tracks specific interactions on bsport widgets not covered by standard events. Custom events allow you to measure unique behaviors tailored to your business goals, enabling more precise tracking, audience creation, and ad optimization.
- Variable: Each event can contain one or more variables. In concrete terms, a variable is a piece of data about the event that our platform records and that gives you more details about the event in question.
- For example, the total price of the basket, the different items in it, their quantity...
Note: Some events do not contain variables. They only allow you to know if your users have performed such and such an action.
